Iv-Offshore & Energy is looking for a technical Information Manager/ Information Engineer to strengthen our Information management team. You will be part of our information management (IM) team. This is a new team which is rapidly growing and is transforming our company to a data information and knowledge driven organization, supported by digital automation. The team performs information management on our engineering & procurement projects and continually develops our digital ecosystem. They do not only focus on technology, but also on assuring that everyone in the company will become and remain knowledgeable users of this evolving ecosystem. 

On our project for clients you will analyse clients IM requirements and study new technology stated in these requirements. Also, you are responsible for the management of client contact on IM and the alignment of progress and implications of IM on the project with project managers. Aditionally, you will align technical systems and business processes with IM client requirements. Other responsibilities are management on data exchange (interfaces and data delivery), lead development efforts of new tools, managing and review inhouse data flows, information processes and standards. Last but not least, you take care of description, implementation and review of tagging systems.

A part of your responsibilities will be outside of projects for clients as well, in order to improve systems and processes of the company as a whole. Your involvement in these activities will be dependent on your own interests and background and could include among all things Aligning engineering and procurements processes with digital tools. Maintain and expand the Iv-Offshore & Energy data and software architecture, developing our inhouse ontology. Guide development of our innovative inhouse engineering database and engineering web application.

Scope and manage the procurement and implementation of new tools and software. Scope and manage the development and implementation on inhouse data tools. Development of information and data pipelines and tools. Compliance to (e.g. IEC and ISO) ontology, information and security standards and support Documentation and elaboration of our work processes, while aligning them with our software and in-house tools.

As Technical Information Manager, you have an affinity with the detailed engineering. You also have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering or information sciences subject (if you don’t have one, but you are the person for the job: try to convince us!). Besides great communication skills, you have a minimum of 3 years of provable experience with information management. Experience with or knowledge of EPC projects, offshore wind, BIM, Python, Ontologies, Industry standard ontologies (CFIHOS, IEC CIM and ISO 15926), data architecture, enterprise architecture, reference design systems (RDS) and API’s are a plus.
