As a Project Leader/Consultant - Upkeep/Inspections, you will be responsible for all organisational and technical activities within the projects of Iv-Infra's 'Instandhouding' Department. You will lead the team and take care of the project planning, guaranteeing the quality and scope of each project. In addition, your responsibilities include tasks related to budgets, such as preparing budgets and quotations. Your function requires constant contact with the client's project manager to ensure every project runs according to plan.
You will be busy preparing design specifications and coordinating designs within assigned projects. You are skilled in identifying additional or reduced work and preparing cost estimates. You will report monthly to the management and the Sector Head of 'Instandhouding' on the pre-financing of projects. Your role is also advisory concerning upkeep, whereby you will deal with existing and new civil engineering works and provide advice on management and maintenance. You will do this for, among others, municipalities, the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat), provinces, ProRail, contractors and water boards. Your recommendations and inspections will include a range of (smaller) municipal objects and larger, complex structures such as movable bridges, lock complexes and storm surge barriers.
In short, no two days are the same in your responsible role as Project Leader/Consultant. Your role ranges from conducting inspections, interpreting damage, and assessing risks regarding reliability, availability and safety to formulating upkeep advice and creating policy plans. In addition to visual inspections, you will also use advanced recordings and data from drones, scanners and/or sensors. This will require you to work closely with our designers, structural engineers, measurement and monitoring consultants, and asset management risk analysts.
