Iv-Infra advises its clients with regard to the construction, management and maintenance of civil infrastructure. As an Upkeep Consultant, you will mainly be involved in inspecting existing and new civil engineering works and aligning management and maintenance advice to these. You will work on varied inspection and consultancy projects for a wide range of clients such as municipalities, Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat), provinces, water boards, ProRail and contractors. The inspections and advice range from (smaller) municipal objects to large complex structures such as movable bridges, lock complexes and storm surge barriers. The diversity of projects and clients ensures much variety. In short, every day is different.

Your role will vary from conducting inspections, identifying possible damage, estimating risks in terms of reliability, availability and safety, up to and including formulating upkeep advice and drawing up policy plans. In addition to visual inspections, you will also use advanced recordings with the help of drones, scanning equipment and/or sensors. For this, you will work closely with our designers and structural engineers, our consultants in the field of measurement & monitoring and risk analysts in the asset management sector. In addition, you will provide input in the implementation and design and demonstrate your affinity for estimating implementation and maintenance costs. This is an independent position within a project team, although your colleagues will coach and guide you where necessary.

We are looking for a consultant with a higher vocational/university level degree (HBO/WO) (preferably in Civil Engineering) and at least two years of experience in a similar position. You must have good analytical skills, be strong in producing reports and have an excellent command of the Dutch language. Solution-oriented, accurate, communicative and team player are all characteristics that describe you. In addition, you enjoy being involved in both content and process and are willing to invest in your personal development. As an inspector, a flexible attitude and willingness to work overtime, at night and on weekends, is required. Due to the nature of this position, a driving license is necessary.
