Iv-Water focuses on the design and construction supervision of all water-related objects in the field of drinking water and industrial water, as well as wastewater and water level management. Due to the growth of our activities in this area, we are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of the mechanical/installation technical components within a wide variety of projects. Together with the civil engineering, electrical engineering, and instrumentation disciplines, you will work on complex technical objects, prepare cost estimates, draw up specifications, and translate these into a mechanical engineering design draft/quotation. The projects you will be working on mainly relate to polder and storage basin pumping stations, locks and flood barriers, (waste) water treatment plants, sewage pumping stations, and associated (pressure) pipes. Therefore, experience with one or more of these objects is a must. In addition, experience with designing in Autodesk applications is an advantage.
When it comes to water, two (conflicting) aspects can be identified: one is that we need water for drinking, for industry, the agricultural sector, transport and recreational purposes. The other is that water also poses a threat in relation to flooding and rising sea levels. Because water quality, water transport, safety and water management often go hand in hand, solutions must be sought across that entire bandwidth. Iv-Water provides integral and innovative advice for projects of all sizes and complexity in water installations and hydraulic engineering. Sustainability is paramount. For example, Iv-Water has developed the CO2 tool! This tool calculates the CO2 reduction in water treatment processes. Would you also like to work on sustainable solutions in water quality? Iv-Water has some of the most challenging projects ready and waiting for you!
