In the position of Business Developer, you will be responsible for the business development of multidisciplinary engineering projects and developing connections with clients within the maritime market. You will also concentrate your efforts on developing opportunities with existing clients. This position involves working closely with the commercial director and acting as an extension of the Management Team. You will keep a close eye on the trends and developments in the market and independently translate, direct and draught the clients’ needs into a quotation/contract. Your position will be based at the office in Alblasserdam, where you will work with a team of highly trained engineers.

What do we expect of you?

You must have successfully completed a technical higher vocational/university level degree (HBO/WO), preferably in Marine Engineering/Technology or Naval Architecture and have at least five years of work experience. A network within the maritime industry, particularly the naval defence industry, is considered an advantage. In addition, a proactive, solution and customer-oriented attitude, the ability to collaborate well, and good organisational skills are essential qualities for this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English are required for this position.
