You must have a higher vocational/university level degree (HBO/WO) in Civil Engineering and at least five years of work experience in flood defences. You have a keen eye for quality, can independently fulfil and/or coordinate the flood risk management task within multidisciplinary projects, and feel at ease in projects for the government and contractors. You must also be familiar with the most current developments in the statutory assessment instruments (WBI 2017) and the design instruments (OI 2014). Demonstrable affinity and/or experience with standard packages such as the D-Series, QGIS, ArcGIS and hydra models is an advantage and preferably knowledge of Plaxis 2D and/or 3D.
You can also support and guide colleagues thanks to your extensive knowledge and experience. However, we consider your drive and enthusiasm to be equally important. Therefore, regardless of your regular work location (Haarlem or Sliedrecht), you must also be willing to work at other locations.
