You won't get this responsibility anywhere else

How can we make the Netherlands climate-proof? How can we ensure dike reinforcements remain suitable and affordable? At Iv-Infra, we love complex technical challenges. Every project is a brain teaser that forces us to think beyond the usual. Due to recently gaining some projects within the field of water systems, we are looking for a new colleague with substantive experience. As a Water Systems Consultant, your tasks will include performing bottleneck analyses and determining solutions for issues in the water system. You will work on urban and regional water management projects, propose drainage and pumping advice for construction purposes and compose geohydrological analyses. As a consultant, you will primarily work on multidisciplinary projects.

Project examples include the St. Jansbeek stream restoration and the Valkenhorst area development. Within the St. Jansbeek stream restoration project, we are working on a design that safeguards the ecological, landscape and hydraulic requirements. As a Water Systems Consultant, you will be responsible for the hydraulic design and coordination of interfaces with other disciplines. Within the Valkenhorst area development project, we are designing the entire water assignment, from surface water and sewage systems to relocating flood defences and solving the seepage problem. As well as making a substantive contribution to our projects, you will also build a broad network, proactively approach the market and take new ideas a step further. In short, you will contribute to our Water Systems team's further growth and professionalisation.

Iv-Infra provides tailor-made and innovative designs and advice for constructing and maintaining sustainable infrastructure. You may already be familiar with our involvement in the new IJMuiden sea lock, the Zandhazen Bridge or the design of the Panama Canal lock gates. By developing and applying the latest technologies, we offer ready-made and sustainable solutions for not only today's societal challenges but also those of tomorrow! We provide integral advice for steel and concrete civil engineering works, hydraulic engineering, spatial planning, upkeep, traffic and infrastructure installations and railways. We also offer specialist services in spatial measurement and monitoring structures, RAMS and risk management, asset management, systems engineering, contract management, project management, and supervision.

What do we expect of you?

You must have a higher vocational/university level degree (HBO/WO) in Hydrology, Water Management or Civil Engineering and at least five years of experience in water systems. Work experience at an engineering company or a water board is an advantage but not essential. In our projects, we work with (geo)hydrological models such as SOBEK, D-Hydro, Imod and MicroFEM. In addition, we use the QGIS and ArcGIS packages to retrieve information and visualise results. Therefore, it would be beneficial if you can work with these models and packages and, above all, are enthusiastic about working with them. We present our modelling results in the form of maps accompanied by a report. Ideally, you are someone who enjoys presenting the starting points and results of the modelling to be carried out and can also present analyses in a structured and catchy way.

Should you not have all the required experience but have the ambition and drive within this magnificent field of work, enjoy working in a team, and are social and communicative, we would still like to get in touch with you!
