Workshop drawings for container cranes

Workshop Drawings for More Efficient and Faster Container Cranes

The fact that APM terminals are almost fully automated, including the semi-automatic SQCs (Super Quay Cranes), means that work can be performed more efficiently and faster, thus enabling the customer to recover the investment in a large seagoing vessel faster. Even though such a crane looks quite similar to an existing quay crane from a distance, it is most definitely not just a copy that is made somewhat larger and wider here and there. The technical challenges in the project were countless and many things that are obvious with ‘normal’ container cranes had to be well considered here. Iv-Consult Malaysia provided the workshop drawings for the steel frame of the crane.
