Engineering of 36 km of water pipelines for Vitens
The groundwater extraction permit issued by the Gelderland provincial authority to drinking water company Vitens imposes a limit on the annual quantity of groundwater that Vitens is allowed to pump up. This maximum was adjusted downward when the permit was renewed. In order to ensure a sufficient supply of drinking water, Vitens upgraded its network of transport pipelines, extraction locations and pumping stations, and constructed a 36-km-long pipeline from the pumping station in Epe to Zutphen. Iv‑Water supervised this entire process.
