Risk-based Management and Maintenance

A strategic asset management plan based on FMECA

To ensure that the Port of Rotterdam Authority can manage and maintain its (dry) infrastructure focussing on performance, Iv-Infra has drawn up a strategic asset management plan based on Failure Mode Effect & Criticality Analysis (FMECA). The functions, failure mechanisms and their importance for (the clients of) the Port Authority were mapped out for each object. Based on this information, the Port Authority remains 'in control' of finding the optimal balance between performance, costs and infrastructure risks.
