Seeking solutions outside the boundaries
FPSO Petrojarl I has undergone a complete modification to be able to process the heavy crude oil from the Atlanta field off the coast of Brazil. The new layout is completely different: more than 50% of the process facilities on board have been replaced. Since most of the equipment was replaced by considerably larger equipment, and new equipment was added, solutions outside the boundaries had to be sought. In addition, the FPSO now had to comply with Brazilian regulation, while it was originally designed for the North Sea. Nevesbu and Iv-Offshore & Energy were responsible for a major part of the engineering and handled the procurement of all necessary equipment.
