1100-metre long deep-sea quay wall for Maasvlakte tank terminal
An enormous 1100-metre long deep-sea quay wall, a dock with a 1000-metre long quayside for inland shipping and a jetty with a length of 320 metres are all part of a new tank terminal being built by HES International and the Port of Rotterdam Authority for petroleum products and biofuels at the Mississippi harbour on Maasvlakte. On a greenfield site of 27 hectares in the Hartelstrook area, there are going to be 52 tanks with a total capacity of approximately 1.3 million cubic metres. Together with SBE, MUC and MH Poly, Iv-Infra is providing the integral design of the deep-sea quay wall, inland shipping quayside and jetty. As part of the PORT-iNFRA consortium, Iv-Infra is also designing the dry infrastructure at the tank terminal and the connections to Beerweg.
