A new industrial area of approximately 100 hectares
With an industrial area of around 100 hectares, the municipality of Waalwijk wanted to meet the demand for space for businesses in the area. The area that needed to be prepared for this housed several specific local challenges, such as environmental, flora and fauna and groundwater. For example, the subsoil showed a wide variety of soil types and protected animal species were present in the area. To make the site ready for construction, preventive actions have been taken to relocate these protected animal species to other suitable areas.
