Borkum Riffgrund 2

CO2-neutral electricity for 500,000 households

With a total capacity of 450MW, the Borkum Riffgrund 2 HVAC Transformer Station, designed by Iv-Oil & Gas, will be used to collect the energy generated by the surrounding wind turbines (windmills). Once transformed, from 33kV to 155 kV, the high-voltage currents will be exported to the DolWin alpha HVDC Converter Platform which is also located in the German part of the North Sea. The wind farm will supply power (free of CO2) to approximately 500,000 households. Iv-Offshore & Energy handles the detailed engineering and procurement of the utility systems for the topside and Iv-Consult produces the shop drawings for both jacket and topside.
