Installation Concepts Data Centres

Making sustainable cooling plants for data centres

A bank has to process large numbers of data streams. The servers installed in the data centre generate large volumes of heat, necessitating constant cooling of the rooms. The cooling process accounts for a large part of the data centre’s total energy consumption. Iv-Bouw was asked to reduce the energy consumption of the existing cooling plants as simply as possible. Iv-Groep examined various installation concepts and compared them in terms of Total Cost of Ownership, CO2 emission and incorporation in the as-is situation.
