Innovative Solution in Borculo
An innovative solution in
Borculo
How do you meet the demand for consistently high quality (process) water when the maximum permitted quantity of groundwater has already been extracted? At its production site in Borculo, dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina recovers various valuable nutrients from whey and reuses them in a range of products. The processing of whey requires tap water as well as groundwater, which is pumped up from the company’s own wells and then treated. Because the maximum permitted quantity of groundwater is already being extracted, FrieslandCampina decided to turn the rejected condensate into process water. In this project, Iv-Water is responsible for the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), and offers specialised support in all technical disciplines.
