End-of-life time frame for 650 Rijkswaterstaat hydraulic civil engineering works
Over the coming decades, Rijkswaterstaat is expected to assign hundreds of millions of euros per year to the replacement of hydraulic civil engineering works, of which many date back to the beginning of the previous century. In support of the scheduling and decision-making regarding the replacement of the civil engineering works, Iv-Infra, in collaboration with HKV Lijn in Water BV, mapped the so-called 'end-of-life time frames' of all 650 civil engineering works. In addition to the technical aging and wear and tear of these works, new requirements that arose from the challenges of the Delta Program and social developments were also considered for functionality.
