Ensuring the quality of drinking water continues to meet requirements
At the existing drinking water production site in Berenplaat, sodium hypochlorite solution was used as a disinfectant. The production process needed to be modified due to a change in legislation which no longer allowed sodium hypochlorite solution to be used. Water company Evides, the owner of the site, was keen to use UV reactors for the main disinfection step. Following disinfection using UV reactors, the water is further disinfected with help from an activated carbon filter and chlorine dioxide. Iv-Water provided the electrical and instrumentation engineering for the modification of the treatment.
