A solution for existing and future water management problems
The Poppekinderen pumping station has considerably improved water management and water quality for agriculture and residents of Walcheren. In the event of extreme rainfall, farmers now have less water-logging problems and the quality of the water bottom has improved due to less nutrient-rich water being transported to the Veerse Meer lake. The watercourses directing to the pumping station are designed to be environmentally friendly and join ecologically connecting zones. Iv-Water provided the design of the sheet piling structures, foundations, the concrete construction of the pumping station and the outflow construction, the pressure pipes and the building.
