Substantial rail expansion between Schiphol and Lelystad
It is expected that by 2030, around 80,000 train passengers per day will make use of the railway between Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere-Lelystad. The existing track was unable to cope with this substantial capacity growth, thus, considerably expanding the rail capacity on the south side of Amsterdam was needed. In addition to adapting the track, various civil engineering works have been realised, such as a 700-metre-long fly-over and a movable railway bridge. Iv-Infra provided the risk-controlled external quality assurance for the civil engineering, rail and the water management.
