Energy-efficient and smart installation concept for healthy indoor air
The new building for the Montessori Children’s Centre in Dordrecht was constructed on the existing pile plan of the old building. The limited space for building systems presented particular challenges in terms of building services engineering and construction. By using multiple small systems, we managed to fit everything into the available space. Thanks to the energy-efficient and smart building systems concept and the good building physics properties of the building, we were able to create a comprehensive design that fulfils the criteria of the so-called ‘Frisse Scholen klasse B’ (Fresh Air in Schools, Class B) guideline. Iv-Bouw was responsible for the consultancy activities for all building-related installations and structures.
