Complex office buildings above a road
The Le Carrefour building at Leiden in the Netherlands is a unique steel project. This is because the substructure of the building stands on a ‘tree structure’ of 12 trees above which there is a structure of trusses. The building has 10 levels in total. Two of them consist of an underground car park big enough for 340 cars. A special detail is that a public road runs below the building. Iv-Consult produced the design for the steel tree structure up to the delivery of the shop drawings.
