Haringvliet Intake Pumping Station

How to ensure clean, fresh drinking water when sluices are ajar?

The Haringvliet is an important source for the drinking water supply of Goeree-Overflakkee and Schouwen-Duiveland. Through an international agreement to promote fishing in the Rhine, the Haringvliet sluices are set ajar, resulting in brackish water. To secure the supply of fresh water and drinking water, a new intake pumping station has been built. Iv-Water provided the design and supervised the implementation.
