Repurposing of HAKA Building

Transformation of 10,000 m² of industrial heritage

The HAKA building, located in Vierhavenstraat in Rotterdam, was built in 1933 for HandelsKamer (HAKA) Cooperative Wholesale Society. Over the coming years, a construction team will redevelop the building to create a property that can accommodate multiple companies. The architectural, structural and engineering alterations that have been made to the 10,000 m² building refer to its past usage and cultural heritage value, as reflected in its current status as a listed property. An important element of the project is the development of a flexible concept for the factory and office sections. The installations will be configured in line with the tenant’s requirements.
