Gladstone LNG Upstream

Piping gas 435 kilometres through Australia

Gladstone LNG, the Joint Venture between Santos, Petronas, Total and Kogas, has started the development of Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Resources in the Bowen and Surat Basins in South-East Queensland (Australia), in the regional centres of Roma and Fairview. Gas will be piped 435 kilometres to a Gas Liquefaction Plant in Hamilton Point West on Curtis Island near Gladstone, Queensland. In that plant, the CSG will be cleaned and converted into LNG in the Gladstone GLNG Facilities. Siemens Energy has contracted Iv-Offshore & Energy to supply the process facilities, interconnecting piping, and in particular, the support systems for the compressors.
