Dalton Lyceum Barendrecht

Sustainable building systems ensure a bright, ‘green’ school building

After using temporary accommodation for a number of years, the new building of the Dalton Lyceum in Barendrecht has now been completed. The new building has been equipped with a number of energy-efficient systems, including a heat exchange pump, heat recovery from ventilation air, automated lighting controls and PV cells on the facade. A ‘green wall’ in the assembly hall emphasises how sustainable the building itself and the building systems are. In this project, Iv-Bouw was responsible for the Schedule of Requirements, the preliminary design, the final design, the specifications phase, guidance during the tendering and implementation and the eventual completion of all mechanical engineering systems, electrical engineering systems, sanitary installations, fire security systems and communication systems.
